I have a scooter with an after market muffler. It keeps rusting. I’ve cleaned the rust off with naval jelly and repainted it with high temp. paint but it just rusts up again. Please help.

That’s a tough one. If you take a lot of short trips this can be a problem because there may be moisture in the system that never gets blown out. I would suggest taking a longer trip so the moisture has a chance to escape.

Get rust killer from parts/accessory shop,Use a wire brush or drill with brass brush and remove as much as possible. Then brush on rust killer, leave a few hours then paint.

try cleaning it again, then lightly sane it with 200 or 400 sandpaper. then prime it with high temp primer and then with hi-temp paint.
