Hi everyone, i drive an 07 mustang v6. I live in Northern New Jersey and i just bought the Borla axleback muffler part number 11751. The car has a single rear exit so its just one muffler.
I’m a little nervous to throw the car up on jack stands and go underneath it without proper equipment so I am planning on taking it to a shop.
Does anyone know approximately what it will cost for the job?
Thanks in advance
&
Being that yours is a 2007, there shouldn’t be any trouble (or very little) at removing the muffler yourself, and saving money in the process. All you need is some P.B. Blaster (incase the muffler clamps are a bit stubberon), A breaker bar, rachet, and the proper size wrenches and or sockets. Like I said, being that your car is that new, things should come appart decently. I see no reason why you couldn’r do the job yourself. As to the cost of taking it to the repair shop, well every shop is different. So every price will vary as well. I am guessing though that the price would at least be from $300 to possibly even $600, cause they like to screw around and wast some time in the process.

Between $75.00 to $125.00 dollars.

Your best bet is to call around. Most shops don’t like to install parts brought in by the customers. You might try to have a friend help you do it.
