First off, is it an Automatic or Manual, becasue you get two distinct sounds from each. Manual sounds much beetter with aftermarket exhaust than an automatic, you can regulate which gear you want vise the computer.

Last, dont buy anything of Ebay that looks like a coffee cann with holes that costs $20. Go with the brand names like Greddy, Borla, HKS. For a honda look for Mugen catbacks (they work directly with honda in Japan). Also, Comptech should be back in business again, look for a system for your civic there too. For a moderate sounding exhaust with the same power look at Tanabe.com. you should pickup a issue of Hondatuning magazine to get the latest too.

good question but you need to answer these questions first,
November 18th, 2009 at 6:16 pm1.auto or manual
2.boost or no boost
3.a new header makes a difference in sound also
if you are running all motor then i think a 2.5 inch header and exhaust will be the limit, unless you plan or are already have turbo then maybe 3 inch.
dont go over 2.5 if you are n/a because it just sounds like ****!

An exhaust system and headers combo. Look into Greddy and Buddy Club parts. You can check the soundclips on youtube if you just search in the model of your car and the words “exhaust sound clip”.
