Seriously I can get a high performance muffler for $80 from Borla while the stock Subaru muffler would cost me $150!!!

Any car with stock parts are expensive because they know that you need it and they will charge an arm and leg for it. Anything from the dealer are expensive period.

The stock mufflers are made for specific applications while the aftermarket muffler can be used for various applications.
