I know i need a new supercharger and i am waiting for the item to be shipped this week. On the way home the service engine blinked 3 times.

i own a shop and for now yo need to have it scanned and see what trouble code comes up on it,chances are it could be related to the bad super charger,but you wont know anything until it has been scanned,auto zone does this for free also,good luck with it hope this helps.

Not likely. If the light blinked, then it may have had a miss-fire. Need to check the code and diagnose the trouble.

Possibly. Variations in manifold pressure will certainly not be helpful. You could check the OBD to see what the blinking light was all about.
