I recently totaled my 2000 Camaro and want to get back to my younger years. I loved my SHO, but may miss the power my Z-28 had. I was just wondering if a supercharger is safe and how much horsepower will increase? Thanks for the input.

its hard to say as the super charger sucks power out of the engine, so it has to cram extra air in to the engine, to make it more power full overall then before. it should definitely add quite a bit if dome well with other regular maintenance

I didnt know they made supercharger kits for the SHO, but i remember reading that the engines are EXTREMELY strong.
December 11th, 2009 at 5:00 pmI know with an engine rebuild, and with the right camset,RR’s and tune, the car is capable of going around 10,000 RPMs.
I dont know how much HP increase you would see, but i’d pretty sure it would be alot since those engines are pretty fast already, and can handle alot of power.
