Are you Fed Up of Feeling Exhausted? Use Aromatherapy and be More Energetic

5 December 2009 | No Comments » | admin

With the pace of life today, people are just far too busy. What with working the 9-5 job, keeping up with children’s activities, and trying to juggle everything all at once, it is amazing that anyone gets any sleep at all. Lack of sleep is so prevalent, that studies show that over 80 percent of Americans are not getting enough rest. It is essential to get enough sleep each night so that your body is able to to heal itself. Whether your illnesses are physical and affecting your body, or of your mind, and playing havoc with your emotions, or if they are spiritual and holding back your spiritual growth, it is very important that you take the time to rest every night.

Children and teenagers are also not getting adequate sleep every night. Because of the high demands placed on school children these days, finding the time to get the sleep and rest they need is falling down the list of priorities.

Not getting enough sleep is damaging to everyone and its effects on you personally need to be taken seriously. Apart from being grumpy, moody, and agitated, not getting sufficient sleep can lower body functions and bring about sickness. Your immune system may become slow or sluggish and hence its not working at its optimum level, thereby allowing various colds and flu to come and infect the body.

Your performance at work and school also suffer when you’re not getting a good amount of sleep. Some studies have shown that inadequate sleep will alter the body’s natural hormones and speed up the aging process. Along with those factors, when your body feels tired, you don’t often have the energy to exercise. Therefore as your lifestyle becomes more sedentary, and you suffer from lack of sleep, your metabolism eventually slows down and and this causes weight gain.

There are various reasons why people sometimes find it difficult to fall asleep. Some of the reasons include fear, stress, anxiety, too much caffeine, medications, depression or physical pain. When you suffer from any of these conditions, you can often feel trapped in a never-ending cycle. First, you need to go to work or school, yet you don’t have the energy to keep awake and focused. If you’re not getting the proper rest required then you’re not able to function at your optimum level. You spend your days feeling exhausted, just waiting for night to come. Then, when nighttime come, you can’t fall asleep, so the cycle continues. Breaking this cycle is essential so that you have sufficient energy to not only get through your day but also to enjoy the things you want to do.

One way of breaking this cycle is to use some aromatherapy oils. You take these to help stimulate your mind and increase your energy levels throughout the day. Initially, you can make your own inhaling oil from Juniper, Peppermint, and Geranium. This herbal formula can be mixed and placed on the end of an inhalant tube. It will stimulate the mind and body by increasing blood flow and promoting self-awareness.

Human Rage Exhausted

Who can comprehend God, let alone such an event as the Cross? But, I believe God has put the desire in each of us to know Him, however slight that may be. It seems that with each apparent answer that I uncover, I create more questions. Such is the nature of God Himself. Last night I had one of those ?openings? wherein a light broke through creating many rays scattering in so many directions.

In the event of the cross and crucifixion God subjected Himself (in Christ) to the impersonal cruelty of His very own objective creation , and to the subjective malice and hatred of His own creatures, human beings. Or as N. W. Clerk observed, ?He therein crucified Him?.

Reread that once more!

We now (all humanhood) have two choices!

We can reject the belief in God, the Creator of ALL. And, we can also reject the love of God of whom we accept. Most people believe in some sort of Being that is greater than us. How can we not- though a few do. However, the real crusher is in not ACCEPTING that we have been ACCEPTED.

Damn! Do you realize how awesome that is? Man is never compelled, this side of the death, to accept His love. On the other side when we see more clearly as I Cor. 14 remind us, we will all gladly embrace such love. No one could have said it better than Hugh Montefiore (Cambridge Vicar) who said, ?Man?s unconscious grudge against life, against himself, and against God exhausts itself on the cruciform figure of the tortured and dying Christ wherein hatred runs out into the sand.?

And for me, the only REAL SIN is the deliberate choice to refuse such love. But rejoice for, God is love???and hell is not!

Are you Clinically Depressed and Feel Exhausted All the Time?

Iron is very important for sustaining good health.

Iron deficiencies can cause feeling exhausted, create Clinical Depression, make us more susceptible to viruses, cancer and a variety of degenerative conditions.

Likewise, iron excess or alteration in the iron-binding capability resulting in free, unbound iron carries the potential for causing or aggravating all diseases, infections, cancers and toxicities.

Therefore is it necessary that we do not only strive to both acquire adequate amounts of iron and rid ourselves of excess iron, and that every effort is made to bind and properly escort iron from the moment it enters the body until it exits.

In addition, binding and escorting iron is particular important during the detoxification process. Otherwise, the many benefits iron provides are easily overshadowed by its toxicity.

Discussing Body Iron is difficult and no single indicator or combination of indicators is ideal for the assessment of iron status in all clinical circumstances.

Each indicator may be affected by a variety of conditions including infection, inflammation, liver disease and malignancy, and these factors must be considered in interpreting laboratory investigations.

Iron is essential to life, because of its unique ability to serve as both an electron donor and acceptor.

But iron can also be potentially toxic.

Iron’s ability to donate and accept electrons means that if iron is free within the cell, it can catalyze the conversion of hydrogen peroxide into free radicals. And free radicals can cause damage to a wide variety of cellular structures, and ultimately kill the cell.

To prevent that kind of damage, all life forms that use iron bind the iron atoms to proteins.

That allows the cells to use the benefits of iron, but also limit its ability to do harm.

The Free Radicals can be identified in a comprehensive biochemical screening report.

Six subclinical defects have been identified that are common to every degenerative disease.

Free Radicals are extremely reactive chemical entities that arise normally from metabolism, and also from toxic exposure.

When your iron status is out of balance, then there will be free iron produced and this free iron is very toxic. Free Iron, indicates that iron is not bound to protein. It is a heavy metal.

Many proteins are enzymes that catalyze biochemical reactions, and are vital to metabolism.

One example of this is that enzymes produced by chronic inflammation, combined with damaging free radicals and alterations in the other subclinical markers assessed cause a breakdown in connective tissues.

Connective tissues make up the body’s “superstructure” and “guy wires” that literally holds the body together.

The words protein, polypeptide, and peptide are a little ambiguous and can overlap in meaning.

Protein is generally used to refer to the complete biological molecule in a stable conformation, whereas peptide is generally reserved for short amino acid oligomers often lacking a stable 3-dimensional structure.

However, the boundary between the two is ill-defined and usually lies near 20-30 residues.

Polypeptide can refer to any single linear chain of amino acids, usually regardless of length, but often implies an absence of a defined conformation

The iron withholding mechanism occurs naturally at the onset of every healthy, acute inflammatory response.

Given full recognition to the natural defence mechanism of iron withholding allows health professionals to be far more effective when building immunity, treating people for cancer, iron deficiency, inflammation, excessive tiredness, memory decline or depression.

The risk in amplified when laboratory testing is inadequate; typical of many insurance driven health plans.

Similarly, there is risk in supplementing iron where the decision to supplement is based solely on a low serum iron reading.

To give an example, when in the chemistry it shows up that a person has low serum iron, an elevated to high Transferrin Iron Binding Capacity and a low Transferrin Saturation, this is an indicator that there is free iron.

It also indicates that there is a Copper Deficiency.

Cerruloplasmin is a specialized copper-rich protein that enters the Ferritin molecule to free iron, so it can be attached to transferrin.

This is a pretty good marker, when it gets elevated, of a copper deficiency.

Remember that the Cerruloplasmin is the copper bound protein or protein bound copper is the compound that pulls the iron out of the ferritin cage, puts it out on to the transferrin leash and attaches it

to the leash.

If the Cerruloplasmin are not there then of course you can have a lot of transferrin in the serum without the iron molecules being attached to the leash.

Each one of these transferrins has two hooks on them so you can put two irons on each leash but if the copper is not there, if you are deficient and can’t make the Cerruloplasmin, what happens Transferrin Iron Binding Capacity rises because you don’t have iron actually attached to enough of the transferrins.

When there is free iron, this also indicates that the iron is not bound to the protein. One of the consequences of the depleted amino acids pool is that this has an impact on the neurotransmitters.

Therefore it could be helpful to access the iron status as discussed and the amino acid pool.

The diagnosis of Clinical Depression could be dealt with an additional different protocol, which might lead to better outcomes.

By identifying the markers for disturbed iron status and assisting you in developing a comprehensive strategy for achieving a healthy iron status your risk of all disease and toxicity and infection are lessened.

In addition to accurately measuring iron levels, strategies for restoring iron balance need to take into account many factors.

1. Maintaining a healthy intestinal mucosa

2. Sustaining adequate protein levels

3. Sustaining and aerobic versus anaerobic metabolism

4. Achieving a state of alkalinity versus acid stress

5. Maintaining a healthy cytochrome P450 system to rid the body of organic solvents and other toxins that may hinder protein-iron binding

6. Establishing a diet rich in whole eggs and cultured dairy for individuals with a tendency towards free iron, iron overload.

7. Recommending a phlebotomy program for those confirmed with iron overload.

Transferrin, lactoferrin, lactoglobin and ovotransferrin are iron-binding proteins. Transferrin, the only commonly measured iron-binding protein that is synthesized by the body, is readily taken up by receptors of both healthy cells and cancer cells. Lactoferrin and lactoglobin, derived from dairy foods, plus ovotransferrin (conalbumin) from eggs binds tightly to free iron

Insomnia Eye Opener: Over $100 Billion Is Lost To Exhausted And Tired Workers

3 December 2009 | No Comments » | admin

Did you know lack of sleep resulting in exhaustion is one of the most serious health- related problems in the workplace. It has also been shown that sleep deprivation is a major cause of under-productivity, absenteeism and workplace accidents. You know the routine…

You wake up at the same time every morning, you get dressed in your work attire, you sit in traffic, and then stare at a computer screen for hours while at your desk. You are beginning to feel unproductive and extremely lazy. You feel that maybe your life needs a change, but before you start searching through the want ads, you might want to implement a change in your lifestyle first. Your attitude toward your job could have a great deal to do with your sleeping, or lack thereof. If you are tossing and turning every night, this could put you into a funk when you wake up every morning, and so going to work might seem like even more of a chore.

Employers Take Notice

According to the National Sleep Foundation sleep deprivation and sleep disorders are estimated to cost Americans over $100 billion annually in lost productivity, medical expenses, sick leave, and property and environmental damage. Sleep in America poll found that 51% of the American workforce reported that sleepiness on the job interfered with the amount of work they got done. One out of four adults had difficulty getting up for work two or more days per week.

Insomnia Effects On Employees

Tired employees can experience more difficulty in concentrating on what they are doing, listening to what others are saying, solving problems on the job, making decisions and relating to their co-workers. Constant exhaustion will make simple tasks seem quite tedious to the point where you might not want to do them at all. Your overall performance suffers simply because you are not able to fall asleep, or stay asleep, every night. Your grogginess will slowly but surely begin to catch up with you, and your coworkers and supervisor will surely see this lackluster effort. It is time to tackle the problem before it gets out of control, and ends up getting you fired.

Find out the reasons behind your insomnia, and then you can determine if you still are feeling burnt out at your job. Perhaps it is the stress of your work situation that is causing you to wake during the night. Or maybe you feel that you spend so much time there that you have no time for yourself. First, you must begin to relax so that you are able to allow yourself to fall asleep, and take it from there.

On your day off relax. Try some of the tips from the free e-book “Best Practices Guide: 101 Amazingly Simple Ways to Beat Insomnia”.

1. Make sure your bed is large enough, and comfortable. If you are disturbed by a restless bedmate, switch to a queen- or king-size bed. Test different types of mattresses. Try therapeutic shaped foam pillows that cradle your neck or extra pillows that help you sleep on your side. Get comfortable cotton sheets.

2. Make your bedroom primarily a place for sleeping. It is not a good idea to use your bed for paying bills, doing work, etc. Help your body recognize that this is a place for rest or intimacy.

3. Keep your bedroom peaceful and comfortable. Make sure your room is well ventilated and the temperature consistent. And try to keep it quiet. You could use a fan or a “white noise” machine to help block outside noises.

4. Hide your clock. A big, illuminated digital clock may cause you to focus on the time and make you feel stressed and anxious. Turn the clock so you can’t see it or put it in a drawer.

5. Keep a regular schedule. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time everyday, even on the weekends. Keeping a regular schedule will help your body expect sleep at the same time each day. Don’t oversleep to make up for a poor night’s sleep – doing that for even a couple of days can reset your body clock and make it hard for you to get to sleep at night. Even if you haven’t slept well.

6. Incorporate bedtime rituals. Listening to soft music, sipping a cup of herbal tea, etc., cues your body that it’s time to slow down and begin to prepare for sleep.

7. Relax for a while before going to bed. Spending quiet time can make falling asleep easier. This may include meditation, relaxation and/or breathing exercises, or taking a warm bath. Try listening to recorded relaxation or guided imagery programs.

After you allow yourself to feel calm, you can head to bed for the entire night and wake up with a better outlook. You might find that it really is time to start looking for a more stimulating work environment. But make sure you exhaust every effort to fall asleep, and don’t just simply remain exhausted.Don’t allow insomnia to get the best of you. Get your body and mind on the right track to enjoy a full night of deep sleep. Break the cycle of a negative attitude and mediocre performance at work.

Go to sleep, enjoy the time you have to relax, wake up, and tell yourself that you are willing to give it another chance. Once you are free from the dark cloud of insomnia, you might realize that you actually do enjoy your job. And if not, you will certainly have more energy to begin the search for a new one.

Tired, Exhausted, Fatigue – Find Relief With Concentrated Omega3 Fish Oil

1 December 2009 | No Comments » | admin

Feeling tired, exhausted or continuously fatigued can make your life miserable. You may be suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or there may be other causes of your fatigue.

Generally if this has persisted for several weeks or even months you should consider consulting a physician or your general practitioner. On the other hand you may consider trying to change your diet and lifestyle. If you are aware of changes that would improve your general health and possibly relieve your fatigue this may be a simple solution. Consider the follow possible changes:

Stop smoking – Smoking effects the capacity of the lungs to supply your body with life giving oxygen Drink Six to Eight Glasses of water per day – Water flushes toxins from your system Eat Plenty of Fruit – Fruit contains natural sugars rather refined sugars Taking dietary supplements that will supply nutrients that your diet is deficient of

One of the important supplements you should consider is concentrated fish oil capsules. These fish oil capsules contain Omega3 fats which are essential fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are fats that are required by the body for its functioning but that the body cannot manufacture itself. Essential fatty acids must be contained in the diet and are converted by the body in fatty acids that can be used within the body. These are known as DHA and EPA and are important in the functioning of the body.

A lack of Omega3 fatty acids have been shown in medical studies to have the following effects on the body:

Arrhythmias – Disturbing abnormal electrical activity in the heart Lower Triglyceride Levels – Triglycerides are an important source of energy and transport of dietary fats Lower Blood pressure – This can lead to fatigue and dizziness

Low levels of Omega3 fats in the system are also related to:

Poor Circulation Memory Problems Depression Tiredness and Chronic Fatigue (CFS)

Considering these effects of the lack of essential fatty acids, diet becomes a very important factor when considering strategies to overcome fatigue. Omega3 fatty acids are contained in foods such as grains, nuts, vegetable oils and cold water oily fish. The grains which contain these fats are flax seeds. Nuts high in fatty acids are walnuts. Olive oil is also high in omega3 fats.

One of the most common sources of Omega3 fatty acids is cold water oily fish such as salmon, sardines, tuna and halibut. Fish caught in the wild are higher in these fatty acids because they consume naturally available algae which are converted by the fish into Omega3 fats.

If you are suffering from fatigue you may consider using dietary supplements containing these Omega3 fats. These are usually available as gelatin capsules which are easy to take and have a long self life. When purchasing these supplements try to find the most concentrated and purest capsules available.

Generally they are produced using micro distillation processes that ensure there are no contaminants in the end product. Before starting a program of supplements always consult your general practitioner or physician or at least make them aware that you are doing so.

An Omega3 supplement program will not be an instant solution to fatigue but in the long term you will find that you have more energy, feel better and can enjoy life more. Start now to improve your well being by taking Omega3 supplements.

A Healthy Body is a Happy Body.

The Exhausted Exhaust Pipe

24 November 2009 | No Comments » | admin

Do you know what your exhaust pipe is for?

Well, in the most basic sense, the exhaust pipe that you find in your vehicle is a tube that actually guides any exhaust or waste gases away from your car’s engine. It is very essential for if the waste gases simply accumulate in your car’s engine, you and your passengers can actually suffer from poisoning of these gases and it could be very lethal.

Exhaust pipes are not just any tubes or pipes. They have been designed with precise computations and with accurate designs so as to guide these harmful gases away from the engine. You can see that the exhaust pipe is part of your vehicle’s exhaust system and it connects to the exhaust manifold of your vehicle. So as to lessen any engine noise, there is a muffler as part of it. The harmful emissions are even lessened in toxicity with the assistance of a catalytic converter.

You may not notice your exhaust pipe as you may take much attention to other parts of your vehicle like your paint, windows, or tires but your exhaust pipe can really get rusty and old. Now, when this happens, you just may find out one day that it could fall off and start a ruckus by being dragged on the road. Now that would be something that you may not want to have.

If you are faced with this kind of situation, you should try to check if it is attached very thinly, then you should try to break if off. Keep in mind that before you do touch your car’s exhaust pipe, make sure that it is cool enough to touch or you might just get burnt in the process. On the other hand, if you cannot break it off, look around for a wire coat hanger or a mechanic’s wire. Wrap this around one end of the hanging pipe and then fasten the other end to the underside of your car. This should keep it in place right up until you bring your car to the muffler shop.

The Best Out of an Exhausted System

23 November 2009 | No Comments » | admin

Most of the motorists these days have one thing in common and that is the manifest disregard to some auto parts like the exhaust system. If you are to ask motorists when they inspect the system, you would probably get same reply. The most common occasion when they do such a task is when they are already hearing obvious noise. With that situation, the vehicles are likely to end up in the hands of a franchised exhaust specialist.

Auto exhaust parts experts suggest that motorists should inspect the system whenever it is on the lift for routine service. According to them, it makes perfect sense considering the expense of some of the parts like sensors, mufflers, catalytic converters and others.

Basically, an exhaust system transports burnt gases from the internal combustion engine. Exhaust parts accessories are mainly composed of pipes that vent waste gases. These gases may stream through a turbo charger to boost power, a catalytic converter to diminish air pollution, and a muffler to minimize noise. Clamps as well as bolted and welded connections and hangers hold the system together. So, in inspecting the whole system, motorists should look for snapped bolts, cracked welds, rusted joints, leaks and other deteriorated parts.

Experts added that rubber in the hangers like the doughnut-shaped bands used in hanging pipes should also be inspected. Car aftermarket parts exhaust is always under stress much more than the original equipment hangers. Moreover, it is recommended to select an aftermarket design that is not similarly shaped with the original hanger when replacing the latter. Another consideration is to be certain that installation can be had without twisting or aggravating the stress of the system. There is wide latitude of aftermarket exhausts available in auto parts dealers. Hence, it is definitely possible to hang the system sophisticated aftermarket parts.

In employing a lot of tensions to the auto exhaust system to make connections, there is a tendency that its parts could foul the body. The occurrence of which could produce repulsive noise and detrimental damage. In fact, it could even lead to eventual separation.

Some vehicle owners think that clamps that secure the catalytic converter and other sections are costly like the U-bolts used somewhere else in the system. The truth, according to auto parts dealers, is the exact opposite. The thick pipe ends on the converter need clamps that can withstand anywhere from 30 ft-lb of torque at the low end to more than 60 ft-lb at the high end. Moreover, when the original equipment clamp is a high strength type with a welded saddle and hardened nuts, experts advise the use an aftermarket equivalent for replacement.

The exhaust manifold joints that link to the pipes of the system or the fast light-off catalysts are other problem areas. A sealing ring found in the joint with the pipe could be noisy when there are leaks. Said joint gets a lot of pressure from engine’s vibration. Despite the presence of spring-loaded bolting setup to maintain tension, it does not serve a lifetime setup. Coil springs could break and joint loosen hence; the system is always at risk.

To maximize the efficiency of the exhaust parts, vehicle owners should choose meticulously engineered exhaust system. In addition, the quality exhaust should be coupled with maintenance and regular inspection to preclude unnecessary expenditure in the future.
